More on “lol” and “XD”, I’ve found that I’ll use them when I want the reader to react or think a certain way! For example, take the phrase, “I killed everyone lol” compared to “I killed everyone”. Huuuge difference there! “lol” and any face you put at the end of your sentances are there to modify how the sentance itself is percieved. More examples:

“I hate my computer XD” – “I hate my computer -_-”

“You should probably get a new one lol” – “You should probably get a new one”

“Looks like we’re done for today XD” – “Looks like we’re done for today >_>”

“lol” – *dead silence*

Many times, I’ll also use “lol” if I can’t think of anything else to say:

“I just burned down my house and robbed a bank while stark naked using an AK-47!”

“lol”

“FCK, I died again!!!! asdhgasfg”

“lol”

“Why did the chicken cross the playground? To get to the other slide!”

“lol”

I thought I’d make an honest post today. “lol” and “XD” are two of my most overused expressions. Usually when I use them, they don’t have any particular meaning. Many times I’ll use “lol” when the situation should be funny. Sometimes it is, sometimes it isn’t. Most times, I don’t even crack a smile. “XD” on the other hand I use when I want to seem happy or excited. Which isn’t always the case when used. But of course, when I don’t use them, I seem rather boring or unemotional. So basically, “lol” and “XD” are filler phrases.

Wondering what I’ve been up to this past week that I haven’t even had time to make new posts? So there was this post on iROwiki the other day about RO replacements and…nah, nvm. I’ll make a full post about it later. After I update my RO History. But before I go to sleep. Which is never. lol. XD.

The Weather

Yesterday when I woke up to go to breakfast, the sky was clear and the temperature was mildly warm. Sometime during my afternoon nap, I heard lightning and rain. Looked outside and it was pouring. A few hours later, I went out for dinner to find that the ground was completely dry already and the sky was clear. The weather here is so random sometimes.

I’m tired as hell and in need of a good 20 hours of sleep, but at the very least I finished my essay. Seeing as I have a little bit of free time (about 2 days) I thought it’d be a good time to post some of the screenshots I’ve been saving up.

So a few days ago I soloed the Sign quest. Dark Illusion is a formidable foe but it’s no match for me!

…and my five stat foods! It probably would’ve been cheaper to bring along some people, but I was in a hurry. So I went ahead and finished the sign quest myself.

The Sign, a lovely accessory which grants me passage into Valhalla. They should make this quest a prerequisite for transing. Really.

I found this funny. The novice was muted, yet it was still talking. There were actually multiple novices stacked on that cell. The GM probably muted one of many.

I’m sure everyone has seen this before. Its a classic!

This one is pretty lucky. Or rather unlucky. I got an OBB from a myst case while lazying around. I opened it to get another OBB. I opened that and got another OBB. I opened that one and got another OBB. Then I got a db. Popped it and got sword guardian, so I left it alone (it instakilled be when I used the DB).

This is another funny one. A double bloody double boned rod. I checked the shop later to find it had sold. I hope its new owner can find some use for it.

I was checking around Draco’s storage when I came up with this. 9.7k Orc Vouchers. I had no idea he was actually saving them. Well, time to make another Orc Hero Helm.

I also came across a new strategy for my horribly undergeared sin. As it is, I pretty much have gears only for water type monsters. Using the status arrow grimtooth trick, I can take advantage of what little weps I have.

Step one: Equip frozen arrows and saharic jur.

Step Two: Grimtooth ’till the monster (or player, hehehe) freezes.

Step Three: Pop a converter and Sonic Blow!

It’s honestly fun to do, but the freeze chance is pretty low not to mention an extra grimtooth will break the ice. Something to try when I go play around in pvp though, thats for sure.

Family Eccentricities

I’ve always talked about myself, but I’ve never mentioned about my family. Well this stops today! For I have something to talk about now. About my family. Mainly for Draco though, since he’s out of the loop.

For all future purposes, I only really have two families, a Sacramento family (dad’s side) and an LA family (mom’s side). Up until 8 months ago, I lived with Sac family. Since I was going to college in LA though, I’ve been living with my mom’s family.

In my mom’s family, there are a couple aunts and uncles of mine who do pretty much everything together. And they always do something different every six months or so. A couple years ago was river rafting, which I voluntarily participated in during a free holiday. A year ago was bowling, everyone bought bowling balls and had bowling gloves and whatnot. A few months ago was biking, everyone buying expensive biking gear and stuff.

I took a break from college this weekend for mothers day to find they were just starting a new trend, PSPs. Uncle Jason recently bought a PSP slim, Uncle San and Auntie Kristine bought one just today. Auntie Linda also bought one yesterday. I know the PSP targets older audiences, but I was definately not expecting my aunts and uncles, who are all more than 29 years old, to suddenly buy slims. So everyone is playing their PSPs in the living room as I speak. Except for me. I accidentally deleted my flash memory without realizing it because my battery was too new to change the eeprom of. I have a 7 page essay due in 2 days 1 day. And I haven’t started. Looks like I’ll be pulling a 31 hour day tomorrow.

The future

Have you ever wondered, “I wonder where I’ll be in ten years…”? Just recently, this question popped into my mind. Where will I be indeed? The answer I came up with a couple days ago was something like living in a one-room apartment working at some no-name software company. And still single. Not exactly the best a 28 year old can do, but probably the best I can do once I’m 28 anyways.

Then a got an e-mail from my college saying, “Oh btw, theres a high chance we’ll be kicking you out of college for your low grades”. Then I envisioned myself 28 years old, working as a clerk at a grocery store living with my parents and regretting ever taking college lightly. And still single.

Needless to say, I’m super stressed out at this. This means I’ll have to put out 300% more effort in order to keep myself at this university. Basically meaning sometime in the near future, all recreational activities will cease. Including RO.

Chance

Do you like it? Well I do. Yesterday I was bored and decided to go try out my newly acquired assassin dagger and cranial valk killing cookies. Overkill, I know. I ran into angeling while in TF, something that would never have happened a year or so ago. Long story short, I ended up camping the TF angeling for a few hours. Assassin dagger is a shadow property wep, which makes it great against angeling. Combined with my Emp carded main guache, I was hitting around 3k with double attacks on it.

After about 4 or so Angelings, one was nice enough to drop me this lovely Angel wing. It’s not a card, but I’ve always been fond of Angel wings. This particular one would be my third career Angel wing. I’ll probably try to sell it, but knowing the economy as it is right now, it’ll probably be in my possession for a while.

Did I miss a day? I think I missed a day. Yep, missed a day. I guess I’ll make it up today with a few screenshots.

I was wearing Green feelers and a romantic leaf just the other day when I thought to myself, “maybe I should dye my hair green too?”

My head looks nice and color coordinated, but my head also sticks out in a crowd. I also made a new emblem for kicks. Draco commented it looked a little like RF online armors. I didn’t see it until two days afterwards when I realized it looked like one of the shields.

I recently bought that Valk shield I was saving for. I really wanted to buy it at 19m, but 20m was all I could find before WoE.

A cranial Valk is an amazing investment on my part. My champ has a mere 6k hp with WoE gears on and I drop very fast in a precast. This WoE saw a huge improvement on rushing precasts and living, both of which used to last a very short amount of time.

As for my sin project, I grinded out a couple levels these last few days and am now at lvl80 and sporting my final skill build (job 49)! A couple days ago, Draco was lagging horribly, but wasn’t time gapping, so he got a couple crazy screenshots of when we were leveling.

Attacking three things at once…and from a full screen away too!

Also, if you’re reading this V, pm me, IM me, email me, etc. I’d like to set aside a time and place on RO to discuss the extra stuff you mentioned in your comment and my conditions on joining HE. Naturally, it won’t be utterly serious or anything, but I do want it to be a formal meeting. I’ll try to bring Draco along to this meeting and of course, you can bring anyone you want as well, whether it be a few select people or the entire guild itself. Anyone else reading this who is involved and wants to come is free to do so, but please keep your commentary to a bare minimum.
