Yesterday, I read into an interesting tidbit of info on the official iRO forums. Someone was asking about about the weird nature of Bowling bash, arguably the most bugged skill in RO aside from the rogue’s graffiti tree. The topic veered towards gutter lines and solutions to gutter lines, to which someone responded that a certain program named ROcha could remedy it. Baturally, this piqued my interest, and I looked into this mysterious program myself.

What I found was a third-party program that hooked itself to ragnarok and allowed certain data to be displayed in the actual client. Not only did it show the BB gutter lines clear as daylight, it also logs your experience and shows your exp/hr rates as well. I thought this was pretty neat, but heres where it gets a little sketchy. It’ll also show hp bars above monsters you’re currently fighting, so you can actually see how much hp the monster has left. Theres also a lot of other functions I have no clue about. If you take a screenshot, it’ll automatically omit it’s visage from the screenshot, as if it were never there… but it is!

Second Day of Lies

Ah crap, I almost missed posting today. Lets not waste anymore time and get to today’s story shall we?

Yesterday, I decided to buy another Assassin Dagger with what little zeny I still have. It set me back 2m, but now we have two daggers, so both Draco’s sin and mine can wear one at the same time! Assassin Daggers give a crazy boost in hp and sp, so I slapped on my green shoes and ares chainmail (both adding up to 20% hp boost) and put on both Assassin Daggers at once (a 40% boost in hp/sp) and actually hit 10k hp with my paltry 20 vit!

I didn’t try to hit high sp values, but with my morpheus set and soul enchanted shoes along with it, I’m pretty sure it would’ve been somewhere around 1.4k max sp @_@.

The Three Days of Lies

April Fools day is a largely known yet unofficial holiday where people go around playing pranks on other people. However, if you’re even remotely aware of what the day is, you could probably see half of these tricks from a mile away. The key to a successful trick is to have it be believable, yet unforseen. In light of this, I will be spreading the April Fool’s spirit over the next 4 days!

The way this will work is this: the next 3 posts, including this one, will contain a story or something. I will make these stories sound truly believable and indeed, some of these stories will be true. But one of the stories is pure fiction, and it’s your job to either find which post is the fraud before my April Fool’s Day post, or sit back and watch as I unveil the answer unopposed! To summarize: Three posts, 2 real, 1 fake. Remember, the fake is pure fiction: not a single part of it will be true.

Today’s story is about exactly what I did to amass a small fortune after I returned to RO a week or so ago. How small is this small fortune? Thiiiiiiiiiiiis small:

Coming back to RO, I only had enough zeny to get from Alberta, where I was saved, to Payon. Getting to payon was far enough, as I bought some kafra points and spent it on some of those new headgear boxes and enriched elus. After opening the boxes and selling a headgear or two, I had enough zeny to attempt to upgrade the 4 Dress Hats I had. Two Dress Hats broke, but two made it to +7. One sold for 40m while the other sold for 43m. I also succeeded in vending off my sole Takius headband for 18m as well, which, combined with the zeny from selling the other headgears, totals 115m. Anyone still doubt that anyone with real life money can get the upper edge on legitimate players?

I’ve been back since when?

To be honest, I haven’t done much since returning to RO. Draco insists on waiting until Grand Chase events are over and my computer doesn’t exactly have a cooling system effective enough to prevent it from overheating when I dual client. Combined with the fact that I’ve felt slightly ill these past few days, the only thing I do after logging on is vending. That’s not to say the vending isn’t helping me though. After selling a few things, investing in very lucrative markets, and getting extremely good luck in upgrading, I have a little bit of zeny to spend on gears and supplies and whatnot.

I have a pretty bad habit of spending zeny on stupid things, from quirky headgears to semi-useless cards. There is a very good reason why I never stay above even a million zeny for too long. All that pocket change eventually adds up -_-.

So I’m going to divy up a few mil between all our alts, so that in the event our main supply dries up, we’ll be able to live off the dregs for a little while afterwards. Hopefully at least.

Screenshot post #1

Well actually, this’ll be the only screenshot post I’ll be doing, because as it turns out, my screenshots aren’t as amusing as I first thought. No matter, there are still enough screenshots to warrant a post. And I’ll still be uploading every single one of them later on, no matter how boring or uneventful (because a good amount of those screenshots are me trying to screenshot insta-tele bots).

I do have screenshots of the exact moment V transed, but they look serious and rather formal. This particular screenshot proves the existence of a previously mentioned Echoflame while at the same time showing the day V transed.

This screenshot was from the broken Chinese new year event with the lucky dragons. I rounded up a couple guild members so the lower leveled members could get a chance to participate in the event. The members in this screenshot didn’t last very long in HE history. Lord Pony left for some reason or another, I don’t remember the drama surrounding him. Sera was a more interesting case as a member. Being one of two females in the guild at the time, one of her conditions upon joining was that no one would hit on her.

This is from one of our earlier guild leveling parties, featuring such older members as 9VC, Cpt. Tokyo, and Capella.

This next screenshot has nothing to do with the guild, but it’s memorable nonetheless.

This was the time I took out one of my Santa suits and gave away presents in the late summer months, most of the “presents” being trashy TI2 cards I would’ve npced.

Jackpot!

I salvaged a bunch of files from my monitor-less desktop a few hours ago. Among the files were hundreds of screenshots from the period of time from when my monk first hit 99 up to and including the summer when HE was the most active. Combined with a few other sources and personal accounts, I now have the information I need to produce an accurate history of the early years of this recent iteration of HolyExe!

But of course, I’m going to put it off for another time, because now that I have these 300+ screenshots, I’m going to post memorable ones every now and then. Starting tomorrow. I’ll eventually upload these to my photobucket account for viewing eyes later on as well.

Currently in RO, I’m scraping together some zeny for future endeavors. Draco wanted to 99 his sin first, and since we already have sin dagger sets for leveling, it’s a lot easier on me (because I currently hold 91% of the TemplarDraco fortune).

I’ve also started feeding my vanimirth (gasp). Those who I’ve told would remember that I starve and overfeed my homunculus frequently. Whilst other vanilmirths would be evolved by the time they were level 75, mine stayed in neutral intimacy all the way to 99, and even now, it’s still neutral. These past few days, I’ve been very meticulous in my feeding of ¬_¬. My watch has a timer which I set to 20 minutes. Every 20 minutes, at a hunger level of 14, I feed my vani twice and reset the timer. That way, I don’t forget to feed it and it gets the maximum amount of intimacy each feeding! In about of week of continuous feeding, my cake blob will evolve into a fish blob! That’s assuming I wake up every twenty minutes in the middle of the night simply to feed a few pixels on my screen. The reality is about 150 hours of feeding for me to get it to loyal. But hurray for not slacking off on feeding!

First official filler of the month! (Even though a fourth of this month’s posts could be considered fillers)

Just sat through a 6 hour car ride for 400 miles, so I’m very tired and unwilling to think too hard to come up with a post today. In lieu of an actual post, I just took a screenshot of the first page of my subscription history for RO.
